A Few Faves

July 01, 2020

The most popular questions people ask me as a stylist are... " What products do you use?"  and " What are your favorite tools?" The real answers are a combination of things. It honestly depends on a few different factors.  Most of all, I take into consideration the condition of the hair, texture, fullness, and desired style. These things let me know what types of products i want to use as well as the level of hold I'll need from my products to achieve a certain look. Remember that a good style service starts with choosing the appropriate shampoos & conditioners for your clients hair. Every part of the service matters. So let's get into it.

What you see pictured:

Milbon Smoothing Shampoo Coarse Hair- I use this shampoo often because I love the fact that the smoothing shampoo comes in different formulas for each hair type FIne, Medium, and Coarse so you have something for everyone. Hair always feels soft and clean.

Milbon Plarmia Hairserum Treatment- A restorative conditioner.  Repairs and strengthens. You'll feel an instant change in the hair.

Aveda Be Curly Curl Enhancing Spray- i use a light mist over the hair after blow drying but before styling to set my curls as I go. Be sure not to spray to close to the head, a little goes a long way. I use it for styling and finishing. Although it has hold, I love that the hair is still moveable, not stiff at all.

Keracare Edge Tamer- I use this product a lot. It's one of my favorite edge tamers. Takes care of fly aways generally around the hairline. What I like most is that it has hold without the white residue that some edgers leave behind.

Olivia Garden Shears- Loving my shears right now. They are fairly new and this is my first time using 6.5. It's definitely a longer length than I've ever used, but they have been amazing so far.

Babyliss Flatiron- This thin plated Nano Titanium flat iron is my most used hot tool. I can do a lot with it. I can straighten, curl, and create wave in the hair. Check out my videos and you'll see how many different ways it can be used.

Tools Make a Difference

June 14, 2020

When I first started doing hair, I never really understood how much of a difference using great tools has on the finished style until I started experimenting with a few different things. Another thing that I soon realized is that its great to have tools that have multiple purposes. This Babyliss flat iron is great for straightening hair, tight curls, loose curls, and creating waves in the hair. Remember to invest in great tools just as much as you do your education. The two work hand and hand.

Tame Your Edges

June 07, 2020

I've never met a edger that tamed hair so well. I promise you that this product will slick down every hair from the finest to the most coarse texture. If you don't over use the product it gives the perfect amount of hold without creating that white residue that some other edge tamers leave behind.
